About

Iris Play started as a group chat where four friends kept swapping screenshots of odd little mobile games nobody else seemed to talk about. At some point the chat got too long, so we turned it into a website. Everything you read here comes from people who actually finished the games, or at least played far enough to have an honest opinion.,We focus on indie and mid-size mobile releases because the big charts already get plenty of attention. What interests us is the racing game a two-person studio built in a bedroom, or the strategy title that quietly nails its pacing. Genre doesn't matter to us — a good puzzle and a good RPG earn the same respect.,How we pick: someone on the team plays something they liked, pitches it, and if two others agree it's worth a proper look, we assign a review. We install on real phones, play on real commutes, and note where the fun holds up and where it falls apart. No press-release copy-paste.,We're a small operation and we like it that way. If a game is mediocre, we say so. If it's brilliant, we get loud about it. That's the whole idea.
